Disclosure Day
Disclosure Day is a sci-fi thriller by legendary director, Steven Spielberg. Not much is known about the film other than it involves aliens and a government conspiracy. Steven Spielberg is known for his classic original movies and this is not his first film dealing with aliens. E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull are some of the movies he has directed with aliens that went on to become classics. This movie is highly anticipated by many people due to the mystery of a vague plot and stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor and Colin Firth.
Supergirl
Supergirl is the next installment of the DC Universe taking place after James Gunn’s Superman. It follows Kara Zorel and her canine sidekick Krypto, her super-dog, partying on various planets to try to forget about her own planet’s destruction. But as she is doing so, a bounty hunter causes her to go on a personal and emotional mission.
This movie stars Milly Alcock as Supergirl and Jason Momoa as Lobo, a DC anti-hero who acts like a more punk version of Deadpool. This is not Momoa’s first super-role as he has previously played Aquaman.
This Supergirl movie emulates the vibes of the Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy movies, which is fitting since James Gunn, who directed The Guardian of the Galaxy Trilogy, is the creative head for DC. Unfortunately, not very many people are excited for this movie. The trailers have made it look lackluster and a straight ripoff of Guardian of the Galaxy with the humor, look and even the soundtrack. But test screenings have gone mostly well, praising the emotional heart of the story with Supergirl and Krypto. So, if you are a fan of DC or the Guardians of the Galaxy Trilogy, Supergirl is worth giving a shot.
Scary MoVIe
This is the sixth installment of the Scary MoVIe franchise. Scary MoVIe is a comedy/spoof of other horror movies, most notably Scream. This film is aiming to make fun of a slew of horror movies such as Sinners, Weapons, The Substance, Smile, Terrifier, M3GAN, Get Out, Longlegs, Ma, Wednesday and the reboots of Halloween and Scream. Scary MoVIe is not known to have very smart comedy, but that does not stop the franchise from being very funny with its low brow humor. Fans are looking forward to the return of its original directors from the first two Scary Movie films, Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Ivory Wayans. They were what made the first two movies as funny and iconic as they were so it is sure to give some good summer laughs.

The Odyssey
The Odyssey is a film adaptation of the original epic by Homer. At the helm of this film is Christapher Nolan who directed blockbusters including The Dark Knight Trilogy, Oppenheimer, Interstellar and Inception. This latest project is littered with divisive controversy due to the cast and certain creative choices by the director. This movie has a stacked cast with Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, John Bernthal, Anne Hathaway, Robert Patterson, Mia Goth, Benny Safdie and many more. But there are some cast members who don’t fit into their roles quite as well, such as Travis Scott–the rapper–as a poet and Elliot Page as Achillies. There are also a lot of historical inaccuracies that classic literature fans are noticing, such as the armor looking inaccurate or characters using modern-day wordage. There is a lot to be excited about with this epic brought to screen, but there are also a lot of things to be skeptical about. Aside from the inaccuracies, it is worth seeing, especially if you like Christapher Nolan films.
Evil Dead Burn
Evil Dead Burn is the next installment in the anthology-styled reboot from producer Sam Raimi and the director of the original Evil Dead Trilogy, Sébastien Vaniček. This movie follows a family that, after dealing with the loss of a loved one, tries to bring them back by reading the Necronomicon, a book of magic. This of course backfires creating demonic havoc throughout the whole town. After the successful reboot of Evil Dead in 2013 followed by Evil Dead Rise in 2023, the franchise is at a high point with box office and critical success. It is moving forward with many plans including another film release in 2027 called Evil Dead Wrath. These movies, unlike other reboots, are an anthology that has up-and-coming horror directors making them. For fans of Evil Dead, it is highly recommended. However, even if you haven’t watched any Evil Dead movies and are just a fan of horror, it is worth watching as you don’t have to watch the other movies to understand this one.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Brand New Day is the fourth Tom Holland Spider-Man movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It takes place right after No Way Home as Peter Parker is by himself feeling the consequences from the previous movie. Not much is known about the plot, only that he is going through changes inside his body. This installment has the characters of the Punisher, Bruce Banner and Scorpion. Those are the confirmed characters but there are still so many unconfirmed. Brand New Day will be a soft reboot of Spider-Man as it will be more grounded and mature. Fans are looking for more depth to the Spider-Man character, who was nicknamed Iron-Boy Jr. due to him feeling like Iron Man. So far this one looks promising, yet bloated with its many plot lines, but it will definitely be sure to be a summer show everyone will want to see.
